Kenya : $311M to strengthen electricity network

On December 15, 2025, Kenya signed a $311 million deal with Africa50 and PowerGrid to build two high-voltage lines and substations over a 30-year concession. Managed by KETRACO, the project aims to stabilize the grid, reduce outages, and integrate more renewable energy, providing reliable and affordable electricity to millions of Kenyans.
