Egypt: Valeo launches AI development center in Cairo to strengthen global smart mobility strategy

On 20 April 2026, Valeo marked 20 years in Egypt by inaugurating an artificial intelligence development center in Cairo, in the presence of the Egyptian Ministry of Communications and ITIDA, according to official statements from the Egyptian government and Valeo. The company, which employs around 3,000 engineers in Egypt based on its 2026 corporate disclosures, positions the country as a key global software R&D hub. Starting with 50 engineers and targeting over 100 specialists, the center aims to accelerate AI integration in smart mobility systems and reinforce Valeo’s global software production capabilities.
