Afreximbank : groundbreaking of new headquarters and African Trade Centre at $249.5M

On December 13, 2025, Afreximbank marked the groundbreaking of its African Trade Centre and new global headquarters in Egypt’s new capital, 45 km east of Cairo. Covering 156,147 m², the complex will feature offices, an innovation hub, SME incubator, commercial spaces, conference center, and staff housing. Hassan Allam Construction leads the $249.5M project. The initiative aims to strengthen intra-African trade, provide advanced digital services, and boost investment across the continent.
