Ethiopia : record $908 million in coffee exports

Ethiopia has made a significant leap in its coffee exports, generating $908 million in revenue during the first six months of the 2024/25 fiscal year. With over 200,000 tons exported, the country has far exceeded its initial target of 133,000 tons. The government’s long-term goal is to reach $2 billion in exports, further solidifying Ethiopia’s position as a key player in the global coffee market. Major importers include Saudi Arabia, South Korea, the United States, Germany, and Japan.
