Rwanda retains its position as the top African country for visa openness, thanks to its visa-free regime, according to the 2024 Visa Openness Index. This ranking, conducted by the AfDB and the African Union, also highlights Benin, The Gambia, and Seychelles. Rwanda’s policy fosters mobility and supports initiatives like the AfCFTA, boosting tourism and economic opportunities across the continent.
