Riyadh will host the 2030 World Expo, the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) has announced, with the Saudi capital beating Busan (South Korea) and Rome to the vote by a wide margin. Riyadh won 119 votes, against 29 for Busan and 17 for Rome, i.e. two-thirds of the 165 votes required, according to the BIE results.
