DHL Global Forwarding, Deutsche Post DHL Group division specializing in air and maritime transport of goods, concluded an initial three years agreement with the international freight forwarding ,Ambatovy, a mining company exploiting nickel and cobalt. This agreement includes two contracts committing DHL to provide services on land and at sea. DHL will handle the international air and sea freight for import of mining equipment to support the production of nickel, cobalt and ammonium sulphate at Ambatovy, consolidated with key sites of DHL in the United States, Europe and China. The agreement will benefit the Ambatovy of Material Management System (MMS) of DHL, an internal information management system for sharing information and also control production processes beyond organizational boundaries. With MMS, Ambatovy will have real-time visibility of shipments being moved.
