Morocco to host headquarters of Permanent Secretariat of UCESA
The permanent secretariat of the Union of African Economic and Social Councils and Similar Institutions (UCESA) will be based in Morocco.
UCESA President Ahmed Reda Chami and Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita signed the headquarters agreement Wednesday in Rabat for the creation of the UCESA Permanent Secretariat in Morocco.
The agreement, which is based on the ideas of active and supporting cooperation and shared prosperity for Morocco and its African partners, attests to Morocco’s unique involvement in African cooperation.
With the addition of Togo, Zimbabwe, and shortly Equatorial Guinea and Madagascar, UCESA, which unites the Economic and Social Councils of African member nations of the UN—has bolstered its growth.
