Egypt : strategic gas agreement signed with ENI and TotalEnergies for Cypriot resources

Egypt and Cyprus have formalized a historic agreement to develop the gas resources from Cronos Block 6 with Eni and TotalEnergies.  The agreement was signed in Cairo, with Presidents Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Nikos Christodoulides, as well as Ministers Karim Badawi and George Papanastasiou in attendance. The gas will be processed in Egypt before being exported to Europe, further strengthening Egypt’s strategic role in the Mediterranean energy sector.
