DR Congo: Coopérative U enters market through Kin Marché in a 100-million population economy

Coopérative U signed a partnership with local group Biso na Biso, owner of Kin Marché, to expand into the Democratic Republic of the Congo retail market. The agreement includes brand licensing and supply support. Three Kinshasa stores will adopt the U Express format starting in 2026. 

With over 100 million inhabitants according to official World Bank data, the DRC represents a high-potential market for modern retail expansion.
