Kenya: Rising well-being but persistent financial stress
Kenya shows a vitality score of 79.4 and an increase in overall well-being (61, up from 50 in 2023), according to Cigna Healthcare’s Global Health Study. However, financial stress remains a concern, with 65% of respondents citing the cost of living as a major source of strain. Despite this, 57% of Kenyan employees feel that their managers genuinely care about their mental well-being, the highest rate in the MEA region, noted Leah Cotterill, CEO of Cigna Healthcare Middle East & Africa.
