Retail: Carrefour expands into Guinea and Nigeria with franchises

Carrefour International Partnership signed deals with Imperial in Guinea and Hypercity in Nigeria to roll out its brand and convert 11 existing stores, with the first rebranding in Conakry on April 15, 2026. The group targets 20 new outlets by 2028. Carrefour reported €91.5bn revenue in 2025, equivalent to $99.6bn, underscoring its expansion strategy in Africa.
