Rwanda: agreement with Sandoz to secure essential medicines supply, no amount disclosed

Rwanda signed a direct deal with Sandoz in Kigali to manufacture and supply around 60 essential medicines, including antibiotics and cancer therapies. The Rwandan government highlights a long-term goal of securing access to care, as WHO warns of global antibiotic shortages. The agreement aligns with the Alpbach Communiqué and may extend to selected African partner markets.
