Morocco : $2.9bn rail investment to boost mobility

Morocco has unveiled a landmark rail program worth MAD 29 billion, or about $2.9 billion, aimed at reshaping national mobility. Led by ONCF, the plan includes 168 new trains supplied by Alstom, CAF and Hyundai Rotem. The project strengthens high-speed services, expands intercity links and upgrades regional transport, positioning the country for future growth and major global events such as the 2030 World Cup.
