On April 20, 2025, in Washington, Tunisia signed a €96.1M (approx. $102M) deal with the World Bank to fund the STEEIR project: Strengthening Tertiary Education for Employability, Innovation and Resilience. Signed by Samir Abdelhafidh and Alexandre Arrobbio, the 28-year loan will modernize universities, foster applied research, and improve graduate integration into the labor market.
