Senegal : Saint-Louis Ousmane Masseck Ndiaye international airport opens for business

On 7 December 2023, following the inaugural flight by the national airline, Air Sénégal, the Minister of Air Transport and Airport Infrastructure Development, Antoine Mbengue, handed over the certification of this infrastructure to the Managing Director of AIBD SA, Abdoulaye Dièye. This step marks the start of operations at Saint-Louis Ousmane Masseck Ndiaye International Airport, which has been completely renovated as part of the Senegal Airports Reconstruction Programme (PRAS) and now bears the name of the former president of the Economic and Social Council (CES), Ousmane Masseck Ndiaye.
The cost of renovation is FCFA 23.262 billion.
