Senegal : SAR refines senegalese crude for the first time

The Société africaine de raffinage (SAR) has reached a milestone by refining Senegalese crude oil for the first time, sourced from the Sangomar offshore field. This move is a key step in the country’s efforts to locally process its energy resources. SAR processed 650,000 barrels of oil, generating 90,000 tons of refined products. This development is part of a strategy to reduce dependence on imported oil products and enhance national energy security.
