Tanzania: significant increase in gold exports
The Bank of Tanzania (BoT) Monthly Economic Review of December shows that GOLD exports increased by 35.9% in the year ending November 2020, due to increased volume exports and price effects. Revenues from exports of the yellow metal, which accounted for 55.8% of total non-traditional exports, increased to US $ 2,833.2 million in the year, from US $ 2,084.9 million year-on-year.
