Rwanda and Anthropic, a U.S. AI research company headquartered in San Francisco, signed a three‑year Memorandum of Understanding on 17 February 2026 to expand their collaboration across health, education, and the public sector. This marks Anthropic’s first multi‑sector government partnership in Africa, building on an education initiative announced in November 2025. The agreement will provide AI tools, training and licenses to support national priorities, including enhancing education delivery and improving health outcomes.
