Namibia : agriculture posts a surplus of about $8.0 million

The Namibian Agronomic Board, the public body in charge of agriculture and horticulture, announced on January 8, 2026 a surplus of N$152.3 million (≈ $8.0 million) for the financial year ended March 31, 2025, up from N$107.6 million a year earlier. This performance was driven by higher agricultural levies, strong investment returns and strict budget discipline. Part of the surplus was allocated to strengthening agricultural resilience funds.
