Uganda aims for a 100% electric public transport system by 2030, as per the Ministry of Science. Led by Kiira Motors, local production has delivered 37 electric buses and over 4,300 motorcycles. Supported by $800M in funding and tax exemptions, the project includes 50 operational charging stations and plans to increase production capacity to 5,000 units annually.
