Telecoms : Airtel Africa : revenue up 26%, investments raised to USD 900 million in 2025

Airtel Africa announced plans to raise its investment budget to USD 875–900 million for FY2025, after posting a 26% revenue increase to USD 2.98 billion and pre-tax profit of USD 656 million in the first half. The company’s customer base grew to 173.8 million (+11%), with data revenue surpassing voice for the first time. Airtel Money, with nearly 50 million users and USD 200 billion in transactions, remains on track for a 2026 IPO.
