Africa Fintech Summit (AFTS):Washington welcomes the top innovation made in Africa
7th Africa Fintech Summit (AFTS) in Washington, D.C. will be organised April 21, 2022, in Washington, D.C. Twice a year, AFTS bring the issues, entrepreneurs, and opportunities revolutionizing finance in Africa to the world’s stage.
The AFTS takes place in Washington, D.C., every April during the spring meetings of the World Bank Group and every November in a different African city. For the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic they will be back in Washington, D.C.
Supported by an advisory board of thought leaders and fintech pioneers, the AFTS is a unique space where ideas are explored, investments mobilized, and collaborations formed across sectors and geographies.
Why Washington, D.C.?

Washington, D.C. has long been one of the most important locations for the Africa Fintech Summit. The US-Africa fintech relationship runs very deep and there are fewer opportunities than the World Bank/IFC Spring Meetings where you can find all the major African fintech players and banking executives in one city.
2022 Africa Fintech Awards
Each April, the Africa Fintech Summit accepts nominations for companies, investment funds, regulatory bodies, and individuals making a positive impact upon the African fintech industry. Anyone is open to make nominations which will be announced and distributed at AFTSDC 2022 on April 21st, 2022.
