Ghana: 10% increase in oil production in first half of 2024

After five years of annual decline (-9.2%), Ghana’s crude oil production saw a 10% increase in the first half of 2024, according to the Public Interest and Accountability Committee (PIAC) report. This recovery, boosted by a 2023 discovery in the Jubilee Fields, led to the extraction of nearly 25 million barrels. This resurgence supports Ghana’s ambitious Petroleum Hub project, set to refine 900,000 barrels per day by 2036.
