Uganda Netanyahu on a quick visit

Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu is making a one-day lightning visit to Uganda on February 3, according to an announcement by his services. If the Prime Minister’s office did not specify the purpose of the trip, sources say Netanyahu will try to convince Uganda to commit to opening an embassy in Jerusalem. A Ugandan government spokesperson confirmed that the visit would take place and said it was scheduled at the request of Netanyahu. The Prime Minister of Israel commemorated in 2016 Entebbe the commando operation during which his brother died in 1976. He then began a four-day tour of sub-Saharan Africa aimed at consolidating Israeli-African relations.
