Benin 7.6% GDP growth in 2019

The real gross domestic product of Benin, a member of the WAEMU stood at 7.6% in the third quarter of 2019. According to the report on monetary policy in the WAEMU in December 2019, the gross domestic product of Benin changed: 7.3% in the first quarter, then 7.6% in the second quarter and maintained at the same rate in the third quarter. Benin has progressed while maintaining the increase in its GDP. The other countries in the WAEMU region have also seen an increase in the rate of their GDP. There is Côte d’Ivoire 7.6%, Senegal 6.2%, Guinea Bissau 5.4%, Mali 5.1%, Togo 5.2%, and Burkina Faso 5.9 %. Niger, on the other hand, experienced a decline of 0.1%. It went from 6.2% in the second quarter of 2019 to 6.1% in the third quarter of 2019.
