Energy: Morocco and Nigeria are preparing to sign an intergovernmental agreement for the Africa Atlantic

Morocco and Nigeria are preparing to sign an intergovernmental agreement in 2026 for the Africa Atlantic gas pipeline project valued at 25 billion dollars, according to Morocco’s National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines. Developed with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company, the project aims to transport Nigerian gas across West Africa toward Europe over roughly 6,900 km, strengthening regional energy security and long-term industrial integration.
