DRC : $1bn plan to become Africa’s digital hub by 2030

At the DRC Digital Nation 2030 forum in New York, the Democratic Republic of Congo unveiled a $1bn plan to modernize public services and accelerate digital transformation by 2030. Minister of Digital Affairs Augustin Kibassa Maliba urged public-private partnerships to tackle major challenges: low internet penetration (34%) and limited mobile coverage (17%). The goal is to position the DRC as a leading technology hub in Africa.
