The national accounts for the institutional sectors for the year 2022, which represent the complete sequence of non-financial and financial accounts, show that :
Gross domestic product (GDP), at current prices, was worth 1,330.2 billion DH in 2022, up 4.4% on the previous year ;
Financial and non-financial companies created 45.3% of national wealth and accounted for 15.4% of gross national disposable income. They contributed 60.8% to national savings and 58.5% to investment (gross fixed capital formation);
The public administration sector generated 16.1% of GDP, 20.2% of gross national income and 13.6% of national GFCF.
Households and non-profit institutions serving households (NPISHs) generated 28.9% of national wealth and 64.5% of gross national disposable income. They contributed 29.7% of national savings and 27.9% of investment;
Purchasing power fell by 2.5% against a backdrop of high inflation.
