Ivory Coast : €182.2 million agreement to expand Bouaké-Darakokaha highway

Ivory Coast is emerging as a leader in West Africa with ambitious infrastructure projects. In the recent Cabinet meeting, the government approved a loan agreement of €182.2 million with the Islamic Development Bank to expand the Bouaké-Darakokaha section of the Northern Highway to 2×2 lanes. This 54.5-kilometer stretch is crucial for transport between the south and north of the country, facilitating regional trade with Burkina Faso and Mali. This project is part of a strategy to position Ivory Coast as a regional hub for transport and logistics.
