Emma Gichonge brings valuable expertise to Showmax as the new General Manager of Operations for East Africa. With a strong track record of building high-performance teams, Gichonge has earned her reputation working across various industries and countries. Her professional journey includes a stint at Yutap, a tech startup, where she led the implementation of mobile payment solutions across Africa and Asia. She also spearheaded the migration of the MPESA mobile payment platform at Safaricom, pioneering an Enterprise Project Management Office within the company. Most recently, she served as Managing Director at MultiChoice Malawi, overseeing several commercial initiatives in the country.
