Burkina : inauguration of the first mining residue treatment plant

Captain Ibrahim Traoré inaugurated a mining residue treatment plant in Kossodo, near Ouagadougou. Owned 60% by Golden Hand SA and 40% by the Burkinabe government, the plant will employ 124 people, including 70 women, with a capital of 10 million XOF. The locally developed project extracts valuable substances from mining residues.

Captain Traoré emphasizes the national mastery of this technology, encouraging other West African countries to collaborate with Burkina Faso. The nation becomes the second African country to develop this technology, marking a significant advancement. In November 2023, the country also initiated the construction of a gold refinery. »
