Zimbabwe-based insurer and reinsurer Zimre Holdings Ltd. has merged its two reinsurance business units in Botswana, Emeritus Reinsurance Botswana and Emeritus Reinsurance International, under the EmeritusRe International banner, Middle East Insurance Review reported citing NewsDay.
The consolidation took effect on January 1. The announcement comes after changes to the law allowed the company to underwrite domestic business.
