Algeria : Convention for start-up insurance signed between CAAT and ASF

In Algiers, a convention was signed between the Algerian Insurance Company (CAAT) and the Algerian Start-up Fund (ASF), ensuring tailored insurance coverage for start-ups benefiting from ASF financing. This agreement streamlines access to insurance solutions addressing start-ups’ specific risks.

Laaziz Faid, the Minister of Finance, commended CAAT’s initiative in introducing a fully digitized insurance product for start-ups, emphasizing its role in ensuring their financial stability. This partnership aligns with Algeria’s goal of fostering a diversified economy. Nassima Arhab, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups, and Micro-enterprises, highlighted the added value of this insurance solution for start-ups locally and internationally.

Nacer Sais, CEO of CAAT, reaffirmed the commitment to support Algeria’s start-up ecosystem through quality digital insurance products. Okba Hachani, Director-General of ASF, stressed the partnership’s significance for project owners, noting its adherence to beneficial economic principles.
