Algeria’s economy is strengthening with a projected growth of 4.4% in 2024, solidifying its position as the 4th largest economy in Africa in 2023. Finance Minister Laaziz Fayed highlighted the growth of non-hydrocarbon sectors, a surplus in the balance of payments, and an increase in foreign exchange reserves. The nominal GDP reached $267 billion in 2023, and the 2025 Finance Bill focuses on economic diversification and the energy transition.
