Uganda : Alpha MBM Investments wins $4 Billion oil refinery contract

Uganda has selected Alpha MBM Investments from the United Arab Emirates to develop a $4 billion refinery crucial for processing its crude oil. The Energy Minister, Ruth Nankabirwa, announced this decision after the failure of previous negotiations with an American consortium. The 60,000 barrels per day refinery is vital for Uganda’s emerging oil industry, with commercial production of crude oil expected by 2025 from the Albertine Rift Basin in the country’s west.
