New trans-African land corridor project aims to boost trade under AfCFTA framework

Tunisia, in coordination with Libya, has initiated plans for a land corridor linking Ras Jedir to several Sub-Saharan countries, including Niger and Mali, Trade Minister Samir Abid announced at the Tunisia-Niger forum in Tunis. The project seeks to cut logistics costs and speed up trade flows. Tunisia reports around 400 export operations completed under AfCFTA mechanisms. No investment amount has been disclosed.
