Tunisia : H2 Notos Project, TotalEnergies, Eren, and Verbund to export green hydrogen

TE H2, a joint venture of TotalEnergies and Eren, along with Verbund, the Austrian utility company, plan to build a green hydrogen complex in Tunisia for export to Europe. The project, named « H2 Notos, » aims to produce up to 200,000 tons of hydrogen per year by 2030 using solar and wind power. Transport will be via a specially built pipeline to the Tunisian north coast, then a marine pipeline to Europe. Despite technical and logistical challenges, the agreement with Tunisia marks a significant step towards clean and sustainable energy in the region.
