Sport : Morocco, Portugal, and Spain named hosts for FIFA World Cup 2030
Morocco, Portugal, and Spain will jointly host the 2030 FIFA World Cup, a landmark decision announced during the FIFA Congress chaired by Gianni Infantino. This special edition will also commemorate the tournament’s centenary, with opening matches to be played in Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay, honoring the competition’s origins.
Fouzi Lekjaa, president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), highlighted Morocco’s advancements under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, calling this partnership a testament to trust and global progress. For the first time, Africa and Europe will co-host this iconic event, symbolizing inclusivity and unity in football.
