Tunisia: salt exploration permit granted to Gulf Care Company

The Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy issued a Group 4 mineral exploration permit (salt) to the Tunisian branch of Gulf Care Company for three years covering the Chott El Gharsa area in Tozeur Governorate, according to the Official Journal. Under the 2003 Mining Code, this permit authorizes geological studies to identify natural salt and brine deposits for potential industrial development. This aligns with Tunisia’s strategy to develop its mineral resources and attract investment.
