Africa faces an annual financing gap of $1.3 trillion to meet the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), warned Claver Gatete, Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Africa, at a side event of the FfD4 Conference in Seville. He called for innovative finance tools and greater policy alignment to unlock affordable, long-term capital and build financial resilience across the continent.
