Rwanda: Disaster resilience goal raised to 60% by 2030

The Rwandan government aims to increase its disaster resilience from 46% to 60% by 2030. Disaster-related losses cost the country between $200 million and $300 million annually. This initiative relies on risk reduction policies, investments in resilience, and the implementation of early warning systems. A national stormwater management plan has already received over $1 million to address urban flooding in Kigali.
