On September 22, 2025, the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), InfraCorp, and Dutch manufacturer Solarge BV launched Solarge Nigeria Ltd to produce 1 GW of solar panels locally. REA will purchase 200 MW/year for five years, supporting rural electrification and local industrial development. The joint venture targets 50% local content within three years.
