The Togolese revenue authority aims to achieve 575 billion in 2016

The Togolese office of  revenue (OTR), the financial governance bringing together customs and taxes, set up in 2013, aims to achieve record figures in 2016. Indeed, the agency wants to move from 516.3 billion of FCFA in 2015 to 575 billion FCFA. « Two years after its launch, the OTR is doing well. The rate of achievement in revenue collection reached 107.2% in 2015 , but we aim to reach 575 billion FCFA in 2016, « said Kokou Tchodié, Commissioner of Corporate Services to the OTR. In the performance of financial governance in 2015, the Togolese Customs has mobilized 294 billion FCFA and the Commissioner of taxes 222.2 billion FCFA. In the general direction, the figures augur a better future for the institution is criticized from both domestic and foreign traders since the introduction of the standard bill to prevent tax evasion. « We are committed to meet the challenges for the government to have liquidity to social needs, » said Mr. Tchodié. Without forgetting that the institution has mobilized 205 billion in 2013 and 331 billion in 2014.
