According to the Kenya Tourism Sector Performance Report 2025 released by the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife, Kenya welcomed 7.9 million tourists in 2025, including 2.7 million international arrivals and 5.2 million domestic travellers, underscoring robust recovery in this vital economic sector. The report states that tourism earnings hit around KSh 500 billion, equivalent to approximately $3.8 billion, up from KSh 452.2 billion in 2024. This growth is linked to enhanced destination marketing, improved air connectivity, streamlined visa policies, and diversified travel offerings under the Magical Kenya brand. Official figures reflect tourism’s role as a key contributor to economic growth, job creation, and foreign exchange earnings for the country.
