Ethiopia: Chairing the African Union Peace and Security Council 

Ethiopia chairs the African Union Peace and Security Council, officially starting on April 7 at the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa. The country will lead discussions on key security priorities across Africa. According to official AU data, this is its first chairship since rejoining the Council in April 2025.
