Ethiopia has secured $70 million from carbon credit agreements under its Green Legacy Initiative. Forest cover now stands at 23.6%, with 7.5 billion trees set to be planted this season. Since 2019, over 40 billion seedlings have been planted, according to Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
