Eswatini : Space Science Indaba 2026 launched to leverage national orbital slot

On February 4, 2026, the Kingdom of Eswatini launched the Space Science Indaba focused on unlocking the value of its national orbital slot, enabling satellite communications operations. Led by the ICT Ministry, the forum highlighted uses in connectivity, climate monitoring, agriculture and digital inclusion. Authorities also announced plans to establish the Kingdom of Eswatini Space Agency (KESA) to coordinate satellite programmes with support from regional and global partners.
