The French group Alstom will set up two railway equipment and rolling stock factories in Egypt. It is a production unit for electrical systems and railway components such as signaling panels, control circuits, electrical braids, and a second plant specializing in the manufacture of various types of mobile line units metro, trams, light rail, monorail and express trains. Alstom’s industrial complex in Egypt should be installed on a plot of more than 12 hectares in Borg al-Arab.
