Egypt’s $23 billion high-speed rail project will span 2,000 kilometers, connecting 60 cities. The system will allow 500 million new journeys annually and cut travel times by up to 50%. With trains reaching speeds of 230 km/h, the fully electric network is expected to benefit 90% of Egyptians and enhance both tourism and cargo movement. Construction is set to complete by 2027.
